Dog Boarding FAQs

Yes.
What should I expect on my first visit?
For your first daycare visit, we will meet you and your dog and observe how they interact with our staff and other dogs. We require that you bring a copy of your pet’s vaccination records on your initial visit.
What do I need to provide for my dog's first overnight stay?
- We require a copy of your dog’s up-to-date vaccination record with expiration dates for the required vaccinations listed. This can be provided to you by your veterinarian.
- Rabies, Distemper Combo & Bordetella vaccines for all dogs
- Please provide any written feeding instructions for your dog to include how often and how much.
- If needed: please provide any medication that needs to be dispensed along with clear instructions for administering medication.
Does Foolish Heart provide bedding and toys?
Kuranda beds are in all the runs and we provide fleece bedding as needed. Toys are available but in most cases the dogs are too busy to bother with the toys.
Can I bring my dog's personal bed and toys?
You are welcome to bring anything that may help make you or your dog feel more comfortable like blankets, beds, toys, etc. If you bring any personal items, please label all items with your dog's first and last name. We do ask that you do not bring anything that is expensive or that will cause heartache if damaged or lost.
Should I bring food for my dog?
We feed nationally-recognized animal food because most dogs like these brands. If your dog has allergies or sensitivities, you are welcome to bring your dog's normal food. The more normal we can keep their routine while away from home the better!
Should I bring my dog's food and water bowls?
No. We use stainless steel water buckets and disposable food bowls so we can sanitize them properly. If your dog is extremely picky about dinnerware, please feel free to bring your own. Please label each piece of dinnerware with your dog's first and last name.
Cat Boarding FAQs
Do I need a reservation for boarding?
Yes.
Where will my cat stay?
- The cats are in a separate area from the dogs. It is a quiet room and they are housed in cat condos with toys and a cuddle bed.
- We allow them out individually to cruise the room while we clean their condo and litter box.
